
University of Mississippi- Marijuana Research Farm

The marijuana farm managed by the University of
Mississippi.
William J. Renton, Jr., Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration's New Orleans Field Division recently visited a unique marijuana growing operation in Oxford, Mississippi. This facility is managed and operated by the University of Mississippi for the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). The marijuana produced on this farm has the government's stamp of approval and is supplied to support various research projects around the country.

The tour was provided by University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy Principal Research and Development Chemist Zlatko Mehmedic, M.Sc.Pharm and Research Professor Mahmoud A. ElSohly, Ph.D.
